Local Business to Host Fundraiser for International Clean Water Initiative

Van Isle Water is turning 40 this year, and to commemorate this milestone we are hosting a public birthday party and fundraiser during the week of May 7th - 12th at our storefront located at 461 Dupplin Road.

We are serving up cake, accepting donations and raising awareness on behalf of Ryan's Well Foundation, a Canadian organization dedicated to providing access to clean water around the world. We will also donate forty cents from every invoice for the whole month of May to this important cause.

Jeff Irvine, company president says "I consider it a sign of maturity when one grows into the realization that the survival of the species is more important than the individual and in that spirit we have decided to celebrate our 40th anniversary by giving back"

Van Isle Water got involved with Ryan's Well Foundation when it heard the inspiring story of Ryan, a seven year old boy, who was moved by the realization that people in other parts of the world are becoming ill because they have no access to clean drinking water. He then took it as his personal mission to raise enough money to help a Ugandan village build its first well. Ryan, now 21, has worked continuously with the Ryan's Well Foundation to fulfill their mission of delivering access to safe water and sanitation around the world.

If you would like more information about Ryan's Well visit their website at www.ryanswell.ca or contact nicole@vanislewater.com.

UPDATE:

We pledged forty cents from every invoice for the whole month of May to Ryan's Well Foundation. As a result of our pledge, other in-house promotions and generous customers we raised $1059.29.
