Round or Oval Body of Water
Dia. x Dia. x Avg. Depth x 5.9 = Gallons (US)
Example:
24' pool with an average depth of 3.5'
24 x 24 3.5 x 5.9 = 11,894 Gallons (US)
Square or Rectangular Pool, Pond or Lake
Width x Length x Avg Depth x 7.5 = Gallons (US)>
Example:
20' x 40' pool with an average depth of 5.5'
20 x 40 x 5.5 x 7.5 = 33,000 Gallons (US)
Length = (Depth x 2) + Length + 2 feet
Width = (Depth x 2) + Width + 2 feet
Example:
For a finished pond of 8' x 10' x 2.5'
purchase a pond liner that measures at least
Length = (2.5 x 2) + 10 + 2 feet = 17'
Width = (2.5 x 2) + 8 + 2 feet = 15'
(Watts/1000) = kwh x 8760 (hrs/yr) x .10 (kwh cost)
= Energy Cost per Year
Example:
(345 Watts/1000) = .345 kwh x 8760 x .10 = $302.22/year
