DIG’s BC140 Ocean Breeze Small Evaporative Mist Cooling Kit is ideal for use through the hot summer months to cool patios, pool sides, mobile home yards, gazebos, and campsites, as well as greenhouses, nurseries, and outdoor work areas. The Ocean Breeze Small Evaporative Mist Cooling Kit can reduce the air temperature by up to 20 degrees; the hotter and drier the air, the more noticeable the cooling effect. The kit contains 50’ of 1/4" beige poly pipe, seven .8-GPH foggers, and all the components needed to install the system.

How to Use
The BC140 Ocean Breeze Small Evaporative Mist Cooling Kit is used through the hot summer months to cool patios, pool sides, and work areas. The misting kit operates at the pressure normally found in homes, without the need for expensive pumps, creating micro sized water droplets to maximize the cooling effect. By increasing the moisture content of the surrounding air, the OCEAN BREEZE Small Evaporative Mist Cooling Kit can dramatically reduce the air temperature.
Start the kit from a faucet or garden hose
To create your own microclimate, follow these step by step instructions, then sit back and enjoy the cooling comfort of an Ocean Breeze.
- Place the screen inside the 3/4” swivel faucet connector and attach it to the water source. If water quality is a concern, we highly recommending using a fine mesh 3/4" filter, not included with this kit.
- Insert the end of the 1/4" misting line pipe into the faucet connector for about 1/2" to 5/8” by pushing and wiggling the pipe inward and applying some force.
- Lay out the misting line pipe at a height of 8’ to 12’ above the area and use the “C” clamps included in the kit every 2’ to 4’, securing the misting line pipe to the structure.
- At the location where the first fogger is to be placed, cut the misting line pipe and add a tee.
- To the tee add a small piece (2” to 3”) of 1/4" misting line. Continue using the same method leaving the end of the misting line pipe open.
- Turn the water on and flush the line, turn the water off, and then insert the foggers into the open ends of the 1/4" misting lines.
- Use the plug to close the end of the misting line pipe.
- Turn the water on again and test the system making sure that each fogger is operating correctly.
- To automate this kit, install a misting timer that can operate for a limited time through the day and includes a short cycle.
- The line connector will allow you to expand the system.
