Jobe Valves specialize in the manufacture of float valves for use in agriculture and light industry.
Float valves are sometimes referred to as ball cocks, trough valves, ball valves or simply as floats. All Jobe Valves products are made to be adaptable, so they can be used in a wide range of applications and rugged, to withstand harsh environments.
Agricultural applications include:
- Supplying drinking water for dairy cows, sheep and other livestock
- Cooling systems in poultry houses
- Filling water storage tanks
Light Industrial applications include:
- Water supply to cooling systems
- Cleaning systems
- Car wash systems
- Water storage tanks of all sorts
Topaz Trough Valves (JOB/TPV1D)
Are float operated valves for use in automatic filling of water troughs, tanks, cisterns etc. The valve is configured for above or below water mounting. The float operates a small pilot valve which in turn operates the main diaphragm valve. Topaz trough valves are a good choice where their high flow, compact, robust, non corrosive construction and high level of adaptability are needed.
Applications
Maintaining Water Levels in:
- Water Storage Tanks
- Water Cisterns
- Air Conditioning Systems
- Irrigation Applications
- Animal Drinking Troughs
- High Pressure Cleaning Systems
Features
- High flow
- Compact robust construction
- Mounts horizontally or vertically
- Made from corrosion resistant materials
- Shuts down slowly to minimize water hammer
- 20 - 60mm (¾" - 2 ½") water level differential (increases as water inlet pressure increases)
- Pressure rating 0.3 - 7 Bar (5-100 PSI)
- Float position easily adjustable with no tools
- Valve has switch to lock it in off position
- Has port to connect Frost Pro anti freeze device
Rojo Float Valves (JOB/RJV20)
Are float operated valves for automatic filling of water storage vessels. The Rojo can be mounted above or below water level. It is a simple mechanically operated valve. The Rojo is a good choice where its low flow is sufficient and its compact non corrosive construction is beneficial.
Applications
Maintaining Water Levels in:
- Animal drinking troughs
- Water storage tanks
- Water Cisterns
- Process applications Features
- Side, Bottom, Top Mounting
- Valve body screws apart by hand for easy servicing
- Flow stops when unscrewed for servicing
- Supplied with back nut and seal washer
- Built in check valve
- Fully adjustable float angle
- Pressure range 0-10 Bar (0-150 PSI)
- Low pressure model also available 0-5 Bar (0-75 psi) gives 60% more flow
- Non corrosive material construction
- Has switch to lock valve in off position
RoJo Part Fill (JOB/RJVP20)
Is a low flow valve intended for use in rain water harvesting tanks. The purpose of the float valve is to automatically maintain a low level of water in the tank during periods of no or low rainfall. This allows services fed by the tank to continue while leaving capacity in the tank for refilling by the next rain.
Applications
Maintaining Water Levels in:
- Rain water harvesting tanks
- Water cisterns
- Irrigation and process applications.
Features
- Ideal for use with all makes and models of rain water harvesting tanks
- Compatible with trickle flow restrictors
- Compact
- Constructed from non corroding materials
- Built in non return valve
- Valve can be locked in off position using the lock off switch
Available Inlet Sizes
- 15mm (1/2")
- 20mm (3/4")
All supplied with long tail thread with back nut.
Pressure Range 0 - 10 Bar (0-150 psi)
Outline of Operation
- The valve is installed through the side wall of a storage tank. It should be mounted above the overflow level of the tank to prevent backflow.
- As the tank empties the weighted float travels down the cord and sits on the bottom stop to
activate the valve. - The valve will run until the weighted float lifts clear of the bottom stop.
- The float will then rise as rainwater fills the tank and falls as the tank water is used.
- The valve will only function at times when rain fall is insufficient to maintain a water level in the tank above the bottom stop.
- The use of a flow restrictor before the valve will not cause the valve to malfunction.
Frost Pro (JOB/FPV)
Is a device that fits Topaz and Vortex Valves to minimize freezing in cold weather conditions. It is manually operated and when turned on allows a continuous flow of water through the valve to assist in the prevention of water freezing in the valve and pipe work supplying it.
Application
- Freeze prevention device for Topaz Trough Valves.
Operation
- When temperatures approach freezing FROSTPRO cap is turned clockwise by hand to activate it.
- A low flow of water passes through the valve to prevent valve and pipelines freezing.
- The continuous flow into tank may be counteracted by lowering water level with the extension arm thereby minimizing spillage through tank overflow pipe.
- When temperatures are above freezing FROSTPRO can be turned off by hand and the extension arm can be retracted.
PROTECTION & MOUNTING SYSTEM (JOB/PMV)
Quickly and easily attaches to your trough or tank, to mount and protect your Rojo or Topaz Valve, without the use of tools.
Features
- Quickly mounts valve on tank. No tools required.
- Great protection from all animals including horses, cattle and deer.
- Fits most styles of tanks and troughs (plastic, metal, concrete).
- Robust tough and durable (UV protected).
- Mounts valve with 50mm air break to eliminate back syphoning
- Ideal for pasture or yard installations.
